Yoga Course Information
At Yogi Kamal Singh we believe that yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, background or body type. We welcome everyone to come and study on our courses, and the most important factor we look for is openness to new experience and a willingness to learn.
Our teacher training programs are rigorous and physically demanding so there are a few things we need to consider from applicants. Things we look at include how long you have been practicing, your level of dedication, your reasons for taking a teacher training course, and your overall state of health. In addition, courses are conducted in English so participants are required to understand basic English in order to be able to digest the material.
For our 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher training courses we accept all levels of students, however we strongly recommend previous experience in order for you to get the most out of the course. The teacher training courses require hard work and commitment and we ask that you become prepared for this, recommending you establish a daily practice 3 months prior to the course beginning.
For our 300 hour intermediate course we require that you already have an established yoga practice, and 200 hours Yoga Alliance recognised teacher training, either at Yogi Kamal Singh or another recognized school.
The more you are established in your own practice, the more you will gain from training with us - your understanding of the adjustments will be more complete, your practice will be deeper, you will enjoy pranayama and meditation more; the whole experience will be more rewarding for you.
We allocate our places on the teacher training courses on a first come first serve basis, so we would recommend to secure your spot sooner rather than later if you can. The availability and demand for courses changes according to the season and which course you are interested in. We try to keep our intake for each course moderately sized so that each student receives the individual attention that they need, so we advise that you keep this in mind when planning your application.
However, if you are looking into taking a course spontaneously, we will absolutely do our best to accommodate you, so please get in touch with us!
