Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course

100 hour and 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training courses are available at Tattvaa Yogashala, the school founded by Yogi Kamal Singh in his hometown of Rishikesh. Hatha Yoga is the traditional method of physical yoga practices first systematized by the Himalayan masters in the 9th or 10th century. It combines gentle postures held for longer periods of time to build strength and flexibility with a strong focus on energy, awareness and breath. Our Hatha Yoga Teacher Training courses will immerse the student in the classical techniques of Yoga as laid out in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the foundational text which has come to be known as the basis for most modern yoga practices. The course will also incorporate the study of Pranayama, Meditation, Philosophy, Anatomy and Teaching Technique to provide the student with a holistic and well-rounded yoga education. All levels of practitioner will benefit from this immersive experience, which will build a strong foundation upon which to pursue both a transformative personal practice and an inspired teaching practice.

Pranayama Yoga Teacher Training Course

Pranayama is the ancient yogic science of breath control. Since before recorded history, practitioners of Pranayama have learned to manipulate their physicalprocesses, still the fluctuations of the mind and control the subtle flow of energy throughout the body using a variety of breathing exercises. These exercises have been shown to help extend and balance the breath, calm the nervous system, invigorate the immune system and strengthen the diaphragm and internal organs. Though the techniques are in essence quite simple, the finer subtleties can take a lifetime to master, and the body as well as the mind must undergo consistent gradual conditioning in order to perform them correctly at an advanced level. It has always been recommended that a student learn these techniques under the guidance of a qualified teacher. In the Pranayama Teacher Training Course the student will be carefully and safely guided through a comprehensive set of techniques, given ample time to explore their nuances and provided with the experience and support necessary to integrate these powerful techniques into ones regular yoga and teaching practice.

Multi Style Yoga Teacher Training Course

For those students who wish to gain a wide, holistic perspective on the possibilities of yoga practice and learn to adapt their teaching approach to fulfill the needs of a broad spectrum of possible students, we offer a Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training course. In this course the aim is to balance the more vigorous flow of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with the gentler, contemplative approach of Classical Hatha Yoga so that the student can gain the benefits of both. In the process the student will have the opportunity to explore a variety of teaching methods in order to make an informed decision about which approach is best suited to their own energy and teaching style. The student will also be exposed to the full spectrum of yogic techniques, including Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Kriyas (Cleansing Practices,) and Yoga Nidra, and will attend informative workshops on Philosophy, Anatomy, Alignment and Adjustment.
